Glendo Wyoming Fishing Report

2025 Outlook – Glendo continues to be the premier walleye fishery in Wyoming. It will provide opportunities for both numbers of eater size fish and trophies. There is an opportunity for crappies and perch throughout the year.

  • Spring (March-May) – Trips usually start in mid-May. There is a bite catching walleye pitching live bait the first couple weeks, then the casting jigs and plastics takes over.
  • Summer (June-Aug) – This is prime time for Glendo. Until the lake starts dropping you can catch numbers or chase big fish using a wide variety of presentations. Once the water starts to drop, trolling live bait and crankbaits become the dominate presentations. Towards the end of August you can start catching walleyes on reaction baits.
  • Fall (Sept-Nov) – In the fall, reaction baits in the morning and trolling midday seem to be the best options for walleyes. Crappie fishing can be really good this time of year with a legitimate chance at a 16 inch fish.
